      ॲ क्सिडेंटल हॉलिडेज...!                   - दत्ता ढाकणे-बावीकर       सकाळचे सहा वाजून पन्नास मिनिट झाली आहेत. मी आत्ताच झोपेतून उठलोय आणि नेहमीप्रमाणे  माझ्या घराच्या गॅलरी बसलोय.आज मला समोरचे चिञ निराळे दिसत आहे. रोज पहाटे चार वाजता उघडणारे आमच्या सोसायटीचे गेट आज सात वाजत आले आहेत तरी बंदच आहे. कोंबडा हरवण्याचा आवाज येतोय लोक्स अजूनही साखर झोपेतच असावेत कदाचित. निरव परंतु भितीदायक  शांतता जाणवत आहे. वातावरणात जरासा गारवा आहे. तरिही दररोज  जॉगींग करणारे लोक्स नाहीत, दूर दूर कुठेच माणसं दिसत नाहीत. अजिबात गोंगाट नाही लेकरांचा रडण्याचा हे आवाज नाही . ज्याप्रमाणे पूर्वी कडक शिस्तीचे गुरुजी वर्गात छडी घेऊन येताना दिसल्यावर जसा वर्ग चिडीचूप होत असे तसा समोरचा परिसर चिडीचूप वाटत आहे. आज दूधवाला  दिसत नाही, पेपर वाल्याच्या सायकलचा ट्रिंग ट्रिंग आवाजही येत नाही. आज रविवार  खवय्यांचा खास दिवस असूनही  ' मावरं घे ...
